1 October marks the official launch of Golden Port Hamburg. To mark the 25th anniversary of Disney’s THE LION KING, the Port of Hamburg will be transformed into a stunning golden light display for the very first time.
On our special Golden Port Light-Up cruise, you’ll be there right from the start. Come aboard with us and experience the moment from the water when the light show makes the Port of Hamburg shine in gold for the very first time.

Rainer Abicht Elbreederei also extends its warmest congratulations to Disney’s THE LION KING on 25 years in the Port of Hamburg and is delighted to celebrate this special anniversary together on the River Elbe.

The internationally renowned light artist Michael Batz will be illuminating, amongst other things, the Stage Theatre, buildings in the harbour, as well as various ships and landmarks with golden light.
What makes this special is that our ship will also be part of the display. This means you’ll not only experience the Golden Port from an extraordinary perspective on the water – you’ll be right in the thick of it with us.

Another highlight of the evening is a special drone show, featuring various scenes from Disney’s THE LION KING projected into the sky above the Port of Hamburg. Together with the golden light display, this creates an extraordinary experience on and above the River Elbe.

This cruise is available only once for the official light-up. Join us to experience the premiere of the Golden Port and an evening when the Port of Hamburg is transformed into a sea of golden lights for the very first time.
