New Year’s Eve Gala Evening with a live violinist on the MS River Star
New Year’s Eve and the violin? Sounds good? It will be!
Ring in the New Year with a 5-hour cruise along the Elbe on our gallery ship, the MS River Star.
Jana Mishenina will accompany you throughout the evening with her violin as the live musical act. The concert musician performs with renowned orchestras such as the Concerto Grosso Frankfurt, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and the Philharmonie der Nationen, amongst others. She is a member of the orchestra for the Hamburg musical productions of *The Phantom of the Opera*, *The Lion King* and *Aladdin*.

She has also been performing concerts on the MS Europa for the past 10 years.
Later in the evening, a professional DJ will get the party going with the latest dance music.

During the gala evening, we’ll sail past the container terminals and the Elbphilharmonie, amongst other sights. We’ll cruise through the harbour basins and position ourselves right in the heart of the action just in time for the grand fireworks display, from where you’ll have an unobstructed view of Hamburg’s night sky.
From the open decks or through the large windows inside, you’ll enjoy an unobstructed view of the colourful fireworks display over the Landungsbrücken. At midnight, raise a glass of sparkling wine against the backdrop of Hamburg’s illuminated skyline whilst listening to the sounds of the violin.
A festive four-course menu and selected drinks are included.

Look forward to a festive four-course menu to accompany your New Year’s Eve celebration on board the MS River Star.

Important note on menu selection:
When booking, please choose a set menu: meat, fish or vegan. The menus are fixed and cannot be combined with one another.

Included are an HHE Spritz as a welcome drink, beer, fine wines, soft drinks, coffee and tea. A Berliner to see in the New Year and a glass of champagne to toast the occasion round off the gala evening in festive style.

Boarding: 8.30–9.00 pm, Überseebrücke
Cruise: 9.00 pm–2.00 am
Disembarkation: 2.00–2.30 am

Important note: Admission to the event is restricted to those aged 18 and over. Please leave pets at home – it’s safer that way.
Bringing your own food and drink on board is not permitted.
