Experience the Speicherstadt flair and the giants of the seas on romantic or modern launches and elegant saloon ships. We offer year-round fleet trips to the historic Speicherstadt and harbor tours to the major container ports. With our entire fleet of quaint or modern harbor cruise barges as well as cozy and spacious saloon ships, we offer you the large, one-hour Hamburg harbor cruise through the harbor every day. Whether by barge through the historic Speicherstadt, the undisputed heart of our world port, and to the large container terminals, or on a comfortable saloon boat down the Elbe and through the various harbor basins with the huge container terminals – the port of Hamburg with its many faces is always a great experience.
Ahoy, do you still want to join the round trip?
Then hop aboard and be there when we take you on an extensive cruise of the entire global port and show you both the heart of the old days, our famous Speicherstadt and the ultra-modern sea container ports.
Come on board and experience the Port of Hamburg from all angles and corners.
During this two-hour tour you will get to see the concentrated fascination of our port and receive live information from our top informed on-board staff.
A beautiful evening trip to the historic and illuminated Speicherstadt and through the sea of lights of the Port of Hamburg. The route is tide-dependent (low and high tide in the Port of Hamburg), so our experienced skippers decide before or during the trip whether it is possible to pass through the canals of the historic Speicherstadt.
International Maritime Museum
In the beginning was the sea. People stood on the shore – ready to sail towards new horizons. The journey through 3,000 years of maritime history begins. Historical globes and nautical charts show how the world view has developed up to the present day. Particularly valuable: a copy of the “Atlantis Majoris” from 1657, the first marine atlas printed in the Netherlands, hand-painted crown compasses and gleaming golden sextants take you back to an era in which a steady hand and a keen eye were required to determine a course. A “radio shack”, Morse equipment and signal books illustrate how seafarers communicated right up to the 20th century, while selected models show the various stages in the development of seafaring: from Phoenician galleys and Roman triremes to the dragon boats of the Vikings, the cogs of the Hanseatic era and the caravels of the explorers through to the last of the windjammers.
Our passenger ships MS RIVER STAR and MS HAMBURG as well as our stern wheeler ship MS LOUISIANA STAR can be reached barrier-free via a gangway and have appropriate sanitary facilities. Due to the conditions on site, we cannot tell you in advance exactly at which times the above-mentioned ships will be used for the harbour tour (no fixed departure times). Our luxury launches as well as our traditional launch are not accessible without barriers.
